Do you believe God can do the impossible? The common answer is yes, I do. Do you believe God is all-powerful? The common answer is yes again.
Now, let’s make it a little personal. Do you believe God can do the impossible in your life and your situation? This is when people go down in disbelief.
We are always told to trust God, believe in God, and have faith in God. As far as I could remember, this was something repeated over and over. Then certain things would happen that showed us that we really didn’t trust God as much as we thought we did.
I want to encourage you that God is still all-powerful and all-knowing. Today, I am going to share with you 3 ways to help youreally trust God. Trusting God is beyond saying you trust him. Trusting God means your words, your actions, and your thoughts align with the promises he gave you.
You must know what God is saying to you in his word about you, your family, situation, etc. Without knowing what God is saying it will be very difficult to live by faith. The Word of God is the breath of life that we use to live every day.
Your word life is comparable to your prayer life. In essence, your words should align with your prayers. When you have nothing to say, speak the word of God. It is essential to consistently declare God's word over your circumstances until a breakthrough occurs. Persist in speaking God's truth into every situation without getting weary.
Second, your actions must also align with your words. For example, if you are believing God for something, act as if God has already done it. You might look foolish, but it’s okay. It will be part of your testimony one day. For example, if you are believing God for a husband or a wife begin to act as wife or husband. Don’t be surprised when it becomes your reality. Taking action also means researching the thing you are praying about so you can be prepared when it finally comes.
Thirdly, your thought life should match your prayer, word, and faith lives. Everything must align. As the Bible says, “As a man thinks in his heart, so he is.” What you think becomes your reality, whether you like it or not. Think about things above and think of thoughts that are holy, pure, true, beautiful, and good.
God is still on the move and is still doing wonderful things in the lives of his people.
Do you trust God?
Your answer is yes only if your words align with his words, your actions show, and your thoughts align with his thoughts.
Action:
Make a list of areas you need to trust God. Write bible verses that relate to those areas. Pray the Bible verses to those specific areas.
Write down things you need to avoid or eliminate that could be adding fear or doubt to your heart.
Examine if you are living your life to please Jesus. Repent in the areas you are not and get back in alignment with His will. God is abundant in mercy.
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for your hand of mercy as I navigate this world. Help me to trust you completely for everything I need and more. In Jesus' name, the fears of this world will not take me away from your presence. Lord, help me to stay grounded in you now and forever.
Meditate on this Bible Verse:
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
